Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 July 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how grappes.ai (the "Service"), operated by 4 BEES D.O.O., uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. "Similar technologies" include local storage, pixels, and SDKs. They can be session (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent (remaining until they expire or are deleted), and they can be set by us ("first-party") or by third parties ("third-party").
Today, grappes.ai relies mainly on browser local storage (a similar technology) rather than first-party cookies for its essential functions, and on a small number of third-party cookies only when you use Google sign-in. When you make a payment, checkout takes place on our Merchant of Record's own page (Polar), where any cookies are set by Polar under its own policy — not on grappes.ai.
3. How We Use These Technologies
- Strictly necessary: authenticate you, keep you signed in, and secure the Service. These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off.
- Functional: remember your preferences (such as light/dark theme).
We do not currently use analytics or advertising/marketing cookies. If we introduce them in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
4. What We Store
| Name | Provider | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| polyai_token | grappes (first-party, local storage) | Strictly necessary | Authentication / keep you signed in | Until you log out or clear it |
| polyai_refresh_token | grappes (first-party, local storage) | Strictly necessary | Renew your session without re-login | Until you log out or clear it |
| theme | grappes (first-party, local storage) | Functional | Remember your light/dark theme preference | Until you clear it |
| Google sign-in cookies | Google (third-party) | Necessary for that feature | Authenticate you when you choose “Continue with Google” | Per Google’s policy |
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties — specifically our authentication provider (Google sign-in) when you use it, and our Merchant of Record (Polar) on its own hosted checkout page when you make a payment. Their use of cookies is governed by their own policies.
6. Your Choices
Consent. We currently set only strictly necessary and functional storage, which does not require a consent banner. Third-party cookies (Google sign-in, and Polar on its own checkout page) are set only when you actively use those features. If we later introduce non-essential (analytics or marketing) cookies, we will ask for your consent and provide a way to change it.
Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent the Service from working (for example, you may be signed out).
7. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date.
